Once Twilight Sparkle becomes busy with removing trees blocking a road, the player is finally allowed to take independent action, following a mysterious pony deep into the woods to a village where the player must solve basic puzzles by collecting objects and delivering them to the correct place or character. In the beginning of the game, Applebloom simply follows Twilight Sparkle around, using basic keyboard commands to interact with objects/characters and navigate the world. When Applebloom decides to go off on her own, the game takes a decidedly sinister turn, with Applebloom forced to flee the onslaught of the "Blanks"-shadow ponies that lack the "cutie marks" that grace the hindquarters of every pony in the My Little Pony world. It follows the adventures of Applebloom as she prepares for a party and follows her friend Twilight Sparkle around.
